"Planting" Seeds

We recently did an experiment to see which type of seed would germinate the fastest. We used pinto beans, sunflower seeds, corn seeds, and radish seeds. We found that the radish seeds were the first to grow although all the seeds germinated! Check out the pictures!

This week we have been working on identifying the parts of a plant. We have been learning about why they are useful to the plant and how all parts work together. We learned how different vegetables come from different parts of the plant and had a chance to sample each part! Enjoy the photos!

We had a great first day of school.  We got all of our supplies put away and learned about our new classmates and teacher!  I am looking forward to the rest of this year.
