Blast off!

During one of our social studies chapters, students were pretending to be astronauts and blast off into space. They were then tasked with finding their way back to the community where NASA is located. They had to find the correct hemisphere, continent, country, state, and city! Here we are getting ready for blast off!

Penguins Galore

During the month of January, we have been studying all types of penguins. Each student chose a penguin to research and then wrote a report, recreated a life size drawing of their penguin, and recorded a chatterpix presentation. Check them out below!

We live on planet Earth

The past two weeks we have been studying where we live on planet Earth.  We have been focusing on hemispheres, continents, countries, states, and communities.  We learned a couple songs about the continents and oceans.  Enjoy!

Fall Festivities

As part of our fall celebration, we enjoyed some fall related centers.  One of our centers involved pumpkins!  Each group had a pumpkin that they weighed and measured.  They then made predictions about whether their pumpkin would sink or float.  Most students predicted they would sink and boy were they surprised!  Check it out!
