We live on planet Earth
The past two weeks we have been studying where we live on planet Earth. We have been focusing on hemispheres, continents, countries, states, and communities. We learned a couple songs about the continents and oceans. Enjoy!
Fall Festivities
As part of our fall celebration, we enjoyed some fall related centers. One of our centers involved pumpkins! Each group had a pumpkin that they weighed and measured. They then made predictions about whether their pumpkin would sink or float. Most students predicted they would sink and boy were they surprised! Check it out!

Power!
We had a guest speaker from Ameran yesterday come to talk to us about electricity and how to stay safe. It was very informative and fun! Ask your kids about it!
New Dictionaries
For years, the Rotary Club has donated brand new dictionaries to the third graders of Irving School. We were excited to receive our new dictionaries to use for this school year and many more to come!
Pug Love
We read a story called Unlovable about a dog who felt he was too ugly to be loved. He ended up finding a friend who was just like him and they became the best of friends. We then wrote about what we would do if someone we knew was feeling unlovable. Check them out!

Party!
Today was our 0-3 marks party for quarter one. Several students in our class were able to attend and a good time was had by all. They were able to listen to some cool music, make an edible spider out of pretzels and oreos, and get a certificate for free ice cream! Well done!
